• To remove the virus use a product such as malwarebyte or superantispyware 90% effective .
• Also a system restore if it has not been disabled by the virus would be good to do, to a day or two before the infection.
• Now after clean up and you sometimes cannot click on any programs, it will ask which file to open with message.  At this point you need to go to the registry.  (USE REGISTRY AT OWN RISK).  Open up notepad on the computer or another computer and add the following lines to it.
• Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
  
  [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
  [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
  [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile]
  
  [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
  @="\"%1\" %*"
  
  [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
  @="exefile"
  "Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"
• Save the file as fix.reg
• Click on this file on the problematic computer...  this should fix the issue of opening programs
